Louisiana History Museum Picture of the Week

These two photos were taken between 1905 and 1910 and show Alexandria and the Red River at flood crest.

Looking south along the Red River at Alexandria. Water Street or Front street is seen clearly on the right as well as a number of unidentified buildings.
This photo shows men unloading stone from a railroad flat car as others wade in the water placing them.
