Louisiana History Museum Picture of the Week

Christmas early 1920's. Inside the old S.H. Kress Store on 2nd (Main) Street in Alexandria. Its location would have been to the side and behind the Commercial Bank Building that stands today. Pictured on the right is Mary Kojis Cachia, with an unidentified lady. This is a great example of the inside of an early 1900's variety store.
